HOW TO REGISTER?

Go to https://hamstudy.org

If you don't see the GARA exams:

Filter the results
-
Select "Find a session" on the right.

Select "Near" and enter 31525
-
Then select filter.

Click on the desired GARA session.

Click on register and fill out the wizard.

WHAT TO BRING?

Government issued picture ID i.e. Drivers License. Other forms of ID are acceptable, please contact us to discuss alternatives.

IS THIS YOUR FIRST TIME TAKING A HAM EXAM?

Register with the FCC CORES and receive your FRN (free) How to register

Register for the exam. (See above)

Take the exam.

Check back with the FCC. You are supposed to receive an email once your exam has been processed. There are reports of this not working. The recommendation is to check back in FCC CORES about every 2 business days. Once the exam results and FCC quick form have been processed at the FCC, login to the FCC CORES and pay the $35. The license will come via email and is also available from the FCC License manager site
STUDY HARD. If you desire, once you pass the first exam you can continue to take the next level at the same exam session without any additional fee.
